Israel on Passover Lockdown

tldr; Israel is required to stay inside their homes on Passover Eve...first time in 3300 years?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday evening announced tough new restrictions on public movement, prohibiting all travel between cities from Tuesday at 4 p.m. until Friday at 7 a.m.
A complete lockdown and increased enforcement will begin on Passover Eve from Wednesday at 6 p.m. until Thursday at 7 a.m. Citizens will be required to remain in their homes amid fears that going to someone else’s house for the Seder or during Passover’s intermediate days could lead to the spread of coronavirus.
The Jerusalem Post, April 6, 2020

“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.
Exodus 12:22

It should be noted that, according to the Bible, Israel entered Egypt and left Egypt on the same day.  Now, 3300 years later, on the day before they left Egypt, they are, once again, required to remain in their homes, just as it was during the 10th plague when God killed the firstborn of Egypt.

This night, the night of the death angel passing over, was to be a solemn observation, a vigil that God's people are to watch very closely to observe.  They are to eat the passover meal with shoes on, belt around their waste, and staff in their hand.  Furthermore, they are not to wait for their bread to rise, but to eat bread baked only from a new lump of dough,  unleavened.  Notice the urgency and watchfulness of this vigil?

It is a night of solemn observance to the LORD for bringing them out of the land of Egypt. This is that night of the LORD, a solemn observance for all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
Exodus 12:42

“And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever.
Exodus 12:24
