Say Goodbye To Life As You Know It

;tldr  When God stands up, there will be sudden destruction, and everything will change.

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them.... And they shall not escape.
...But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
...but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thes. 5

That day is coming, and sooner, I think, than many of us would like to believe.  It is the day of God's vengeance, the year of His redeemed. (Is. 63)  If you think the past few months have been difficult, get ready, it's about to get a whole lot harder.  The powerful elite have initiated their "Revelation" end game for population reduction and total control, but so far it has been just a taste of what's coming.  They want to destroy Christianity and bring their god, Lucifer, out into public adoration.

Everything you think you knew about life is about to be turned on its head.  Which is why the Bible says:

I will turn your feasts into mourning,
And all your songs into lamentation;
I will bring sackcloth on every waist,
And baldness on every head;
I will make it like mourning for an only son,
And its end like a bitter day.
Amos 8

 I like Swedenborg's assessment of baldness as a symbol in that "when nakedness has reference to the head, which is baldness, it signifies the loss of the intelligence of truth..."  Think about it, we've all acclimated to this life, raising a family, going to work, paying bills.  Satan initiates his end game, we can see things are changing, but life still resembles pretty closely the life before his end game began.

But then, everything changes.  In this article we're going to take a look at Scripture that talks about when God stands up, primarily his first rising up after a long 2000 year age of grace.

Isaiah

Therefore the Lord says...I will rid Myself of My adversaries,
And take vengeance on My enemies. ...I will turn My hand against you,
And thoroughly purge away your dross...
Isaiah 1

We see the stirring begins.  Remove the evil ones, purge the sin of God's people.  These two themes are central to all the prophets.  Christ will return for a spotless bride, remember?  God will preserve his remnant through the Tribulation!  The meek will inherit the earth.  The tares will be gathered and burned, but the wheat will be gathered and put into the barn.

When He arises to shake the earth mightily.
...
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.
Isaiah 2

There are some passages that just don't have information to connect it to some other event in the timeline of events.  But as we'll see in Isaiah 3, I've come to understand that there are two instances of God standing up.  The first kicks off a time of pleading, when God sends judgments for the purpose of waking up people to repentance.  The second is the final destruction of Babylon by an army from the north.

The LORD stands up to plead,
And stands to judge the people.
Isaiah 3

When I wrote those three books in 2012*, I didn't see this.  I didn't realize this "standing up" occurs twice.  The first standing, even though it is very destructive, begins a series of events leading to the second "standing" and the destruction of America/Babylon.  The second standing is God entering into judgment with Babylon by fire, whereby many of her cities will be completely destroyed by nuclear bombs.  (Later in the timeline, we see she is remembered once more by God, as the waves come up over her.)

How do we know, when studying the Bible, if it's referring to the first standing or the second?  If the passage describes the complete end of the nation, we know it's the second standing when the nation ceases to be a nation.

Therefore the anger of the LORD is aroused against His people;
He has stretched out His hand against them
And stricken them,
And the hills trembled.
Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets...
Isaiah 5

Notice the word 'aroused' or 'kindled.'  Is this how God has responded to sin during the long, 2000 year age of grace?  Nope!  But then something changes at the end of the age.  God breaks the covenant of peace he had made with all men since the resurrection of Christ. (Zec. 11:10)  Verses 11 and 12: all day festivals where people drink all day with music playing in the background, but with exactly zero consideration of the God who made them and blessed them.  We may see this "festival" theme later as we discuss the sudden destruction.

The whole earth is full of His glory!...
And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out...
“Lord, how long?”...
"Until the cities are laid waste"...
And will return...
Isaiah 6

Glory...shaking...the prophet warns...cities are laid waste...the remnant returns.  This is the pattern.  This is how the Tribulation begins.  This is the year of His redeemed.

But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
...Who shall stand as a banner to the people
Isaiah 11

Hmm, has Jesus done this yet?  Do the poor in spirit have justice in this earth and has He slain the wicked?  He will...and soon if we are in the time I think we are.  The meek will inherit the earth.  The wicked will no longer walk the earth.

Behold, the day of the LORD comes,
Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,
To lay the land desolate;
And He will destroy its sinners from it.
Isaiah 13

We know this chapter is discussing the fall of Babylon.  But is it also discussing the sudden destruction? It is very difficult, in some of these passages, to know for certain if it is discussing the "sudden destruction" of the first "standing," or the day when Babylon dies.  We see common themes in both.  The third option, maybe some of these passages are discussing both standings.

It shall come to pass...that you will take up this proverb against the king of Babylon
Isaiah 14

How did I know, back in 2012, that the last king of America would be such a great boaster?  The Bible.

his strong cities will be as a forsaken bough...And in the morning you will make your seed to flourish
Isaiah 17

Cities destroyed...second stand.  During the spring / early summer.

For so the LORD said to me,
“I will take My rest,..."
...when the bud is perfect
And the sour grape is ripening in the flower
Isaiah 18

What causes God's Spirit to rest during the spring / early summer time frame?  We see from Zechariah, spirits being sent out to work judgment in the earth.  Ellicott seems to agree: "The words that follow paint with marvelous vividness the calmness and deliberation of the workings of Divine judgments."

Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste,
Distorts its surface
And scatters abroad its inhabitants.
Isaiah 24

There is coming an interruption of the normal activities of mankind.  But like Isaiah 2, I'm not seeing anything in this chapter that conclusively indicates this is talking about either the first standing or the second.  This is not to say we can't know it, but only that I don't see it at this time.  Although I have been inclined to think this is talking about the second standing, when we study verses 16 to 18, a strong case can be made for the first standing.

"A time of suffering, of wasting, and pining away must be endured - for how long he knows not - before the joyous consummation, towards which he stretches in hope and confident expectancy, can be reached. This is the period of his "leanness." The treacherous dealers, or ungodly of the earth, will bear sway during this period, and will deal treacherously and cruelly with God's saints, persecuting them incessantly in a thousand ways." Pulpit Commentary

Verse 16 seems to speak of a duality of feeling, a sigh of relief that God preserved the righteous through such a great cataclysm, but also of dread because the prophet understands what's coming next.  After God stands up and this great shaking occurs, we know that on the heels ride the four horsemen of the apocalypse, persecution of the saints, the destruction of Babylon, the rise of the anti-Christ, and all else that must be fulfilled before the return of Christ in power and great glory.

What I find striking about verse 16 is that it stands in stark contrast to the confidence we see in the prophet at the end of Habakkuk 3.  Here we see dread of the future, but there we see confidence that God will provide all that's needed in the days ahead.

Is there any other verse in the Bible where one word is repeated 5 times in a row?  In verse 16 this is exactly what we see.  The Hebrew word "bagad" or "baged", which means treachery or deceit, is repeated 5 times.  Could it be the prophet is lamenting the great treacherous lies that wicked men will propagate on the heels of this earth shaking cataclysm?  All those who give God credit for the cataclysm will be relentlessly mocked, in the least, then persecuted and reviled as hate mongers as they speak against sin and urge people to repent.  "They hate the one who rebukes in the gate."

For when Your judgments are in the earth,
The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness....
Let grace be shown to the wicked,
Yet he will not learn righteousness;
Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;...
For behold, the LORD comes out of His place
Isaiah 26

God's judgments have not been in the earth, which is why the world has become such a reproach.  But a shift is about to take place.  The Lord is about to come out of His place, i.e He is standing up.

For the LORD will rise up as at Mount Perazim,
He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon—
That He may do His work, His awesome work,
And bring to pass His act, His unusual act.
Isaiah 28

"For the Lord shall rise up - To rise up is indicative of going forth to judgment, as when one rises from his seat to accomplish anything. ...and is indicative of sudden judgment" -Barnes' Notes

Behold, the name of the LORD comes from afar,
Burning with His anger,
And His burden is heavy;
His lips are full of indignation,
And His tongue like a devouring fire.
...
The LORD will cause His glorious voice to be heard,
And show the descent of His arm,
With the indignation of His anger
And the flame of a devouring fire,
With scattering, tempest, and hailstones.
Isaiah 30

"The name of the Lord is here put for the Lord himself, and he is said to come from far, either as coming unexpectedly, or as having for a long time appeared to withdraw his presence, and withhold his help from his people"  -Benson Commentary

At the noise of the tumult the people shall flee;
When You lift Yourself up, the nations shall be scattered;
...
“Now I will rise,” says the LORD;
“Now I will be exalted,
Now I will lift Myself up.
Isaiah 33

Isaiah 33 and 42 are prominent chapters to understand when discussing the rioting/looting going on in many lands right now.  They seem to imply a strong connection between civil unrest and the day God stands up to intervene on behalf of His people...the cause of Zion.

For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance,
The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
Isaiah 34

That first time He stands up, after so long an age of grace, there will be sudden destruction.  But He must stand up for the salvation of His people.

Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand,
And His arm shall rule for Him;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His work before Him.
...
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;...
Isaiah 40

What will that "strong hand" look like?  See my previous post about the Passover.  Glory...shaking...darkness.

The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies.
“I have held My peace a long time,
I have been still and restrained Myself.
Now I will cry like a woman in labor,
I will pant and gasp at once.
Isaiah 42

This is a very cool chapter.  The first half talks about Jesus' first coming, the second about when He returns to intervene in the events of a very corrupt world.  Like Isaiah 33, sure seems like rioting/looting (robbing/plundering) is going on when He stands up.

I am the LORD, your Holy One,
The Creator of Israel, your King.”
Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea
And a path through the mighty waters,
Who brings forth the chariot and horse,...
Isaiah 43

The horses of Revelation 6?  Yep!

Therefore evil shall come upon you;
You shall not know from where it arises.
And trouble shall fall upon you;
You will not be able to put it off.
And desolation shall come upon you suddenly,
Which you shall not know.
Isaiah 47

OK, let's do a quick assessment.  Evil shall come upon you.  Plandemic.  check.  Manufactured civil unrest.  check.  Desolation shall come upon you suddenly.  America will be destroyed by her enemies.

He saw that there was no man,
And wondered that there was no intercessor;
Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him;
And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
For He put on righteousness as a breastplate,
And a helmet of salvation on His head;
He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing,
And was clad with zeal as a cloak.
According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay,
Fury to His adversaries,
Recompense to His enemies;
The coastlands He will fully repay.
So shall they fear
The name of the LORD from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59

When God stands up, vengeance, zeal, recompense...all around terrifying day.

“I have trodden the winepress alone,
And from the peoples no one was with Me.
For I have trodden them in My anger,
And trampled them in My fury;
Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments,
And I have stained all My robes.
For the day of vengeance is in My heart,
And the year of My redeemed has come.
I looked, but there was no one to help,
And I wondered
That there was no one to uphold;
Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me;
And My own fury, it sustained Me.
I have trodden down the peoples in My anger,
Made them drunk in My fury,
And brought down their strength to the earth.”
Isaiah 63

When God stands up, after a long time holding His peace, a devastating day that will be...for His enemies.

Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That You would come down!
That the mountains might shake at Your presence—
As fire burns brushwood,
As fire causes water to boil—
To make Your name known to Your adversaries,
That the nations may tremble at Your presence!
Isaiah 64

Has this been your prayer?

“Behold, it is written before Me:
I will not keep silence, but will repay—
Even repay into their bosom—
...
I will bring forth descendants from Jacob,
And from Judah an heir of My mountains;
My elect shall inherit it,
And My servants shall dwell there.
Isaiah 65

Central themes among the prophets at the end of the age: recompense to His enemies, salvation for His remnant.

For behold, the LORD will come with fire
And with His chariots, like a whirlwind,
To render His anger with fury,
And His rebuke with flames of fire.
For by fire and by His sword
The LORD will judge all flesh;
And the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Isaiah 66

This was only the book of Isaiah.  The other prophets also discuss the day when the Lord "stands up."  Read on for Part 2.
