Let's Recap

 tldr;  A summary of how I think the end times will play out.

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation,

And have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold,

I have been saying for 10 years that Russia and China would destroy the US, and it looks like it's finally at the door.

Most people don't realize the extraordinary detail about our day found in Scripture.  They think the majority of information is in the book of Revelation, not realizing it's actually in the Old Testament, which they don't bother to read, thinking it doesn't apply to them, and certainly not coming upon us right now!  

Hosea 12:10 talks about similitudes, which are 'points of comparison', or patterns.  I'm a software developer and my brain is hardwired to recognize patterns over large data sets.  So in 2012 I took a year off work, at great expense to myself, to write 3 books that hardly anyone read.  Those books explained the mental model of the end times I developed from the Scriptures, and I said things would kick off with sudden destruction in the spring, around the time people are planting gardens.  (If I have understood anything correctly, it is certainly God's doing, not mine.)

Over the years I have continued to correct my mistakes and refine that model, and here's how I see it playing out, which, if nothing else, is vastly different from what most people think, and most likely have never heard.

1. War will break out among the nations, WWIII. The Middle East, especially, will be hit hard, but it will be short lived because...

2. God will step in with some sort of world wide cataclysm which will make it impossible to continue fighting.  The US, in particular, will be devastated, greatly weakened by it.

3. A short time later, weeks I imagine, maybe a few months, Russia, China and a few others will send their nukes here to finish us off.  There will be no resistance.  Destroyed in one hour.

4. A major theme in the prophets is God's people, what He does with His remnant and what the world thinks as they watch this play out. God will supernaturally protect them and send them to Jordan, east of the Dead Sea in the Ammon area, which will be destroyed during WWIII.  From all lands they will begin to assemble there.  God has to correct their false mindsets, remove the stumbling blocks out of their way, clean them up, "...that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish."  

I have heard Christians say that some Christians will not have to endure the Tribulation.  Isaiah 57:1-2 discusses the righteous perishing, avoiding the judgment coming to others. The 'catching away' is clearly at the last trumpet, when Christ appears in the sky at the end of the 7 years.  Therefore, the only two paths I have found in Scripture are to die or to go through it. In Zechariah we find "I will be a wall of fire around them, and the glory in their midst."  Who will die and who will have to go through?  Even though our righteousness is found in Christ, and not of our own works, the topic is more nuanced than that.  To truly reconcile the various questions and understand the end-times, we can only understand any one topic within the context of every topic.  A prominent theme in the text is that God is not happy that the majority of His people are overtaken with sin at the time of the end and that their teachers have led them astray, as unfaithful shepherds. Though our righteousness is found in Christ, many of us are not wearing white robes (representing the righteous acts of the saints), but more closely resemble the person in Isaiah 1 who is covered in wounds that haven't been treated. 

5. On the heels of destroying the US, Russia and all her confederates will come down to flood Palestine and surround the remnant.  They will be given a choice: go with the enemy or stay and starve.  Two thirds will take his offer and go with him.

6. Unbeknownst to the enemy, and those who defected to him, God will step in with another cataclysm to destroy that great army and all who went with him.  This is referred to as the battle of Gog of Magog.  Survivors will proceed to burn the weapons for 7 years, that infamous time period known as the Tribulation. 

Some Christians have been confused when they read of Gog and Magog at the end of the 1000 years of peace in Revelation 20.  The reason for that reference is because it is a "type" of what we read about just prior to the start of the last 7 years before the return of Christ.  The thought being conveyed is: the remnant is surrounded on all sides by the enemy, in danger of being destroyed, but God will rescue them...this will happen twice.  First at the start of the final 7 years and again at the conclusion of the millennial reign of Christ. 

7. The anti-Christ will step in with some sort of agreement to last 7 years.

8. During the first 3.5 years, God's people in Palestine will be greatly blessed and provided for as they rebuild the temple. Ezekiel's two sticks (Jews and Christians) will be reunited as one people as the Jews realize that Jesus is the long awaited Messiah and Christians realize just how far they've fallen from God's standard of holiness.  The whole world will be aware of how this played out and will want to see for themselves.  

Why would Jews, who now believe in Christ, and Christians need to rebuild the temple?  Ezekiel 44:23 tells us: "And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean."

9.  Second 3.5 years, no need to explain as the book of Revelation details this time period, the judgments and the return of Christ.

This is the mental model I developed from the Scriptures, in a nutshell, and it seems to be fairly reliable, as it helps me to understand what's going on in the world.

There is a conspiracy among the globalists to destroy the US.  We see this prominently discussed in Revelation 17.  They want a world government to govern 10 regions, ruled by the anti-Christ, and they know they have to get rid of the US first.  I suspect Russia is not on board with this, the globalists know this as well, so they want to greatly weaken both the US and Russia in the coming war.

In the past couple years we have experienced things which can only be described as forerunners of things we read in the prophets.  For instance, all the world was talking about excluding (from all facets of society) the people who refuse to be injected with a certain substance.  We read of this type of thing happening again in Revelation 13, but on a much larger and more permanent scale.

Jeremiah 25 tells us that Babylon, who is America today, would enjoy at least 70 years where many other nations would be servile, in a sense, reporting to the King.  This power structure seemed to begin to take place 71 years ago when the first American took office of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe.  We are on borrowed time.

War is at our doorstep and famine is being openly discussed by nations.

I can't remember a time in my life when current events more closely matched the things written in the prophets.  Will the sudden destruction kick off this spring?  Only God knows.
