Good News! Good News! Good News! (Part 2)

tldr;  Let me tell you the story of God's people at the end of this age, as I understand it. (Continued)

So the holy seed shall be its stump. Isaiah 6

We are now at the point in the story that most people will simply refuse to believe.  After all, isn't the rapture next?

Christians have been taught that before the trouble starts, the Church Age comes to an end, God snatches His people up to heaven, and then turns His attention back to the Jews.

I used to believe it too, before I studied the prophets.  Sorry, folks, it simply is not true.  The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me. Isaiah 21:4  There is too little Scriptural support for the idea (Is. 28:20) and overwhelming Scriptural support for God's people enduring to the end...both houses: Judah and Israel; both sticks (Ez. 37:16).

As events play out, it will not be without irony.  At the exact point in time when a great deal of faith and foreknowledge would be extremely useful, many believers will struggle mustering much of either.

Simply put, many believers, those who are not awake and aware, will be caught off guard as the world descends into chaos.

How is any of this Good News?

Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her! Revelation 18:20

Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. Revelation 18:8

When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning... Isaiah 4:4

Though the world is largely resting quietly now at the end of Babylon's 70 years (Zec. 1:11), the day is coming, soon I believe, when war will break out in many places, but especially the Middle East. It will seem like World War III has arrived.  And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth. Revelation 6:4

Then, without warning, God's day of sudden destruction will arrive.  The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters; But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, And be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, Like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. Isaiah 17:13   The windows from on high will be opened, and the foundations of the earth will be shaken. (Is. 24:18)  That day of sudden destruction will bring about death and mourning and famine. (Rev. 18:8)  In one day life as we know it will be drastically altered. For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come. Isaiah 63:4

For those who survive, it will be like waking up to the world set on fire.

As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report. Isaiah 28:19

Sometime after that, possibly weeks or months later, America will be "utterly burned with fire" as her enemies come against her to destroy her.

But let me tell you something:  God has a plan for His people!

...that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27

What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes? Isaiah 5:4

If there is one thing I've learned from comparing the present day to God's Word:  the majority of us are not rapture ready, myself included.

I don't believe God wants to kick off the 1000 year reign of Christ with believers in our current state.

Either God has to change, or we have to change; and God doesn't change.

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. Revelation 18:4

...And will return and be for consuming... Isaiah 6:13

They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, saying, ‘Come and let us join ourselves to the LORD In a perpetual covenant That will not be forgotten.’ Jeremiah 50:5

Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts? Isaiah 60:8

All the prophets speak almost continuously of our day, Isaiah to Malachi to Revelation.

Nevertheless, I can't convince anyone of this.  I wrote books, which hardly anyone read, going line by line, precept by precept.  And now, attempting to make it as plain as possible (Hab. 2:2), I'm sure it seems like I'm pulling a random verse here and there. (Is. 28:13)  Prophecies you may believe were fulfilled long ago, never to be duplicated in our day.

Can mindsets be easily changed?  Most of the time it takes overwhelming proof.

When I read the prophets I see one continuous story of the return of Christ being told; the prophets using events and names of their day to tell the story.  For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10

To Babylon you will go, and from there you will be delivered.  The day is coming when the CHIEF NATION of the last days will be destroyed with sudden destruction and then utterly burned with fire.

And then God's people will return.  Not only from America but from all lands.

There is coming a supernatural return of God's people to Palestine and surrounding lands at the beginning of the Tribulation.  For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you. Isaiah 54:7

As I continue this series, Lord willing, we will take a look at what God's people will face when they return.
